Why do my scans look normal when I am in pain?
Pain is produced by the nervous system and depends on many things beyond tissue damage: sensitivity, stress, sleep, movement habits and past experience. Scans show structure, not pain, and many people with no pain have "abnormal" findings.
A normal scan is good news, and it does not mean your pain is imaginary. It means we should look at how you move, load and recover.
