What is progressive overload? | You Deserve Well

What is progressive overload?

It means gradually asking your body to do a little more over time, so it has a reason to adapt. That can be more weight, more repetitions, more sets, a slower tempo or a harder variation.

Without it, you plateau. With it, even small increases add up: a single extra repetition each week is real progress over a few months.
